New Vendor Application Process

1. Submit two (2) examples of your finished, pdf music compositions or arrangements along with corresponding low-resolution mp3 files (we only use the mp3 audio format at SacredSheetMusic.com) to E-mail address [email protected] along with all contact information and a short statement of your philosophy of sacred music in worship. Please use subject line “New Vendor Submission Application.” We are looking for quality composers and arrangers of like-minded philosophy that would be a good match to promote the mission of SacredSheetMusic.com (see "Mission Statement" page). Besides a mutually compatible mission philosophy and quality arranging, you must be able to present your music in a quality typeset format. If you are unsure of how to do this simply begin by comparing your music to music publications from major publishers. There are many resources on the internet that can help, such as the following:
http://dsii.dsi.unifi.it/~moods/moods/mus_not.htm
http://icking-music-archive.org/lists/sottisier/notation.pdf
http://www.music.indiana.edu/departments/academic/composition/style-guide/

2. Download and sign a copy of the “SacredSheetMusic.com Vendor Legal Agreement.” Either scan and attach it back to the email [email protected] with subject line “Vendor Legal Agreement Submission” or mail it through the USPO to the following address:

SacredSheetMusic.com
308 Wandering Way
Pickens, SC 29671

3. You will receive an approval or denial to your application via E-mail. If approved you will also receive two (2) attachments to that E-mail - a signed copy of the "SacredSheetMusic.com Vendor Legal Agreement" and a document entitled “Uploading Instructions and Guidelines for SSM Vendors.” You will also receive instructions on how to log into SacredSheetMusic.com as a vendor, create your Vendor Profile, and begin to upload/post your music to the site. Please make sure you follow all submission information exactly as stated. If you have any questions you can contact us at the “Contact Us” page or directly to me at [email protected].

4. As stated in the “SacredSheetMusic.com Vendor Legal Agreement” you sign, SacredSheetMusic.com reserves the right to suspend or discontinue your vendor account or delete any individual uploads that it deems inconsistent with the Mission Statement and purpose of this website. A Music Oversight Committee of five (5) members has been created that will rule on these concerns. A simple majority of three will determine the decision. The current Music Oversight Committee consists of members Dr. Mac Lynch, Dr. David Smith, Dr. Danny Sweatt, Mr. Kurt Woetzel and Dr. Mike Harding.

Business model: No vendor ever "pays a dime" to post music at SacredSheetMusic.com. Of course, the vendors that do well at our site are those that post many different compositions and arrangements in various genres. Royalties are paid quarterly. If a vendor does not sell more than $15.00 of music per quarter ($5.00 per month) they do not receive any royalties at all. Those that sell more than $15.00 have $15.00 subtracted from their total sales and a royalty check sent for 70% of the remaining balance. For ease of example, say a vendor sells $215.00 worth of music in a quarter. They receive 70% of $200.00 or $140.00 in royalties. This amounts to a 65% return on their postings. If this same vendor paid to print and bind their own music, paid taxes on their inventory and marketed that music to retailers the best they would receive is 60% from that retailer. What we are offering is a better percentage than retailers with no additional or up-front costs. You post your own music and sit back and receive quarterly royalty checks. Of course, the incentive is to post many selections. SacredSheetMusic.com bears the financial burden of web development, web hosting, monetary processing fees and much more.
